Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms are booming in the U.S., with downloads of Dunhuang.com soaring by 940%
Due to the abuse of tariffs by the United States, many Chinese suppliers and manufacturers have produced videos and put them on the short video social media platform TikTok to tell consumers about how China cooperates with world-renowned brands, and explain that many people think that the products made in Europe are actually made in China, and that they can directly purchase "good products from the source" through Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms. Many videos also directly provide website links and contact information to guide viewers to place orders directly with these suppliers. As a result, these videos have greatly increased the popularity of the Chinese cross-border e-commerce platform Dunhuang.com. Data shows that in the Apple iOS App Store, Dunhuang.com was downloaded 65,100 times in the United States on April 13, an increase of 940%. In addition to Dunhuang.com, Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Pinduoduo Cross-border Platform and AliExpress have also attracted the attention of American consumers.
