China's Global Ocean Fusion Dataset is released to the world
On June 9, the third United Nations Ocean Conference, co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, opened in Nice, France. During the conference, the China National Marine Information Center took the lead in hosting the side event "Enlightening the Ocean: Innovative Science Leading Action to Promote a Sustainable Future". The Ministry of Natural Resources released the China Global Ocean Fusion Dataset 1.0 to the international community on behalf of China. Yu Ting, a researcher at the China National Marine Information Center, said that the China Global Ocean Fusion Dataset CGOF1.0 released this time basically covers more than 40 different data sources at home and abroad, and also incorporates China's autonomous ocean observations, with a time span of up to 60 years. Its spatial resolution reaches 10 kilometers. It integrates advanced AI intelligent technologies such as deep learning, transfer learning, and machine learning. Its accuracy is better than that of some mainstream foreign data sets.
