Canadian Solar: Sued for 1.058 billion yuan in patent dispute

Canadian Solar announced that Canadian Solar Power Group Co., Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Changshu Canadian Solar Power Technology Co., Ltd. were sued by Trina Solar Co., Ltd. for patent disputes, involving a total amount of 1.058 billion yuan. The court has accepted the case but has not yet opened a trial. Trina Solar requested that Canadian Solar and its subsidiaries be ordered to stop infringing and compensate for economic losses. Canadian Solar said that it has fully studied and analyzed the patents involved, and believes that there is strong evidence to prove that the patents are invalid, and said that it will actively respond to the lawsuit and safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. It is currently impossible to determine the specific impact of the lawsuit on the company's profits, and the final result will be subject to the court's decision.
