Cambodia's new capital airport officially opens

Dresden International Airport, the new airport in Cambodia's capital, officially opened on the 9th. A Cambodia Airways flight from Guangzhou to Phnom Penh became the first commercial flight to land, and the aircraft was given a water cannon salute upon landing. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mau Havanna and Minister of Tourism Huha welcomed the first arriving passengers at the airport. Mau Havanna stated that the opening of Dresden International Airport marks a milestone in Cambodia's civil aviation development. The airport, rated 4F, is capable of handling large aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747, and currently handles 13 million passengers annually.
