CATL obtains AS9100 aviation quality management system certification to accelerate its layout in the new global low-altitude economy track
On May 10, CATL introduced that it had recently successfully passed the AS9100 aerospace quality management system certification, which is the highest quality standard in the global aerospace field developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). Its technical rigor and industry professionalism exceed the general quality management system. As the "passport" of the aviation industry, AS9100 adds special requirements for the aerospace industry based on ISO9001, targeting the characteristics of the aerospace industry, and comprehensively covers all aspects such as design and development, production and supply chain. At present, global aviation giants such as Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin and their first-tier suppliers all require their partners to pass this certification. CATL introduced that this certification is not only an authoritative recognition of the advanced battery technology of CATL, but also a sign that its quality management system, product reliability and continuous improvement capabilities have reached the aviation industry standards. Under the strategic background of the country's vigorous development of the low-altitude economy, the acquisition of this certification means that CATL has international qualifications in emerging markets such as drones and eVTOL, which will further promote the global new energy process.
