China's largest electric vehicle maker BYD announced Monday that it has entered the Romanian market, with plans to open more than 30 sales stores within the year.

BYD disclosed that the first products to be launched in Romania include BYD SEALION 7, BYD SEAL, BYD SEAL U DM-i and BYD ATTO 2.

Through a partnership with dealers Tiriac Auto and DAB Auto, BYD opened its first store in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

By the end of 2025, BYD is expected to open more than 30 sales stores in the Romanian cities of Ploiesti, Brasov, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara.
