BYD Co., Ltd.: New energy vehicle sales in May reached 382,500 units
BYD Co., Ltd. announced that the company's new energy vehicle sales in May 2025 were 382,500 units, compared with 331,800 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales this year were 1,763,400 units, compared with 1,271,300 units last year, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 38.70%. Among them, passenger car sales were 376,900 units, compared with 330,500 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales this year were 1,735,600 units, compared with 1,266,900 units last year, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 37.00%. Commercial vehicle sales were 5,546 units, compared with 1,329 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales this year were 27,726 units, compared with 4,391 units last year, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 531.43%. In addition, the company sold a total of 89,047 new energy vehicles overseas in May, with a total installed capacity of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage batteries of approximately 28.48 GWh, and a total installed capacity of approximately 107.51 GWh in 2025.
