On August 20, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the BOE (BOE Oriental) Materials Research Institute project was successfully held in the Bajiao area of the Huangbohai New Area in Yantai City, Shandong Province. The Yantai BOE Materials Research Institute, covering 33,000 square meters with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters, is planned to integrate a research and development center, advanced testing and analysis platforms, administrative offices, and comprehensive living facilities. It is expected to be operational by the end of 2026. By developing four major technology platforms: AI+-based automated synthesis, fully automated analysis and testing, intellectual property, and material verification, the institute is committed to establishing an industry-leading, fully automated closed-loop system for materials R&D and industrialization, achieving efficient, precise, and commercialized materials R&D.
