According to Counterpoint Research, iPhone sales in China grew 8% year-on-year in the second quarter of this year, marking the first time Apple has recorded growth in the Chinese market since the second quarter of 2023. Apple's sales have increased mainly because Chinese e-commerce platforms have offered discounts on its latest iPhone 16 and increased the price of trade-in for some iPhones, which has been well received by consumers, especially in the week before the 618 shopping festival. According to Counterpoint, Huawei's sales in the second quarter grew 12% year-on-year. The company was the largest mobile phone manufacturer in China in the second quarter, followed by Vivo and Apple ranked third.
