AMD announced on May 19 local time that it had reached a final agreement to sell ZT Systems' data center infrastructure manufacturing business to integrated manufacturing solutions company Sanmina for $3 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Last August, AMD agreed to acquire server manufacturer ZT Systems in a cash and stock deal worth $4.9 billion. AMD said at the time that it would retain the company's design and customer teams and sell its manufacturing division.
