Asia Tech Wire (Sep 24) -- Universal Music Greater China (UMGC), the business arm of Universal Music Group, announced Tuesday the formation of Universal Music China Greater Bay Area (UMCGBA).

The new label division will cover China's Greater Bay Area including Hong Kong and Macau, with its new headquarters in Shenzhen.

Gary Chan, who currently serves as Managing Director of Universal Music Hong Kong and Senior Vice-President of UMGC, will lead the new regional company.

Universal Music Greater China now has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Taiwan.
