Asia Tech Wire (Oct 14) -- TSMC is planning to build more factories in Europe, focusing on the artificial intelligence chip market, according to Bloomberg.

TSMC has already begun construction of its first fab in Dresden, Germany, and plans to build several fabs for different market segments in the future, the report said.

TSMC has not yet announced its timeline for further expansion in Europe.

And TSMC also said that it is still focusing on its existing global expansion plans and has no new investment plans for the time being.
