Asian Tech Press (Feb 15) -- Tesla has announced that it has officially opened all of its Superchargers in the Netherlands to other electric vehicles.

The move means that any brand of electric car can charge at Tesla's Superchargers in the country.

Tesla officially launched a pilot program for non-Tesla electric cars to charge at Tesla's Superchargers in November 2021.

Approximately 95,464 new passenger plug-in cars were reported to be registered in the Netherlands in 2021, an increase of more than 7% compared to 2020.

And its market share improves to 30% (including 20% of battery electric vehicles and 10% of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles), up a full five percentage points from 25% in 2020.

Companies selling electric cars in the Netherlands include Škoda Auto a.s., Korean automaker Kia Corp., Volkswagen, Ford, Volvo Cars, Hyundai Motor Co. and others.
