On February 27, the China Photovoltaic Original Technology Forum was held in Suzhou. In their speeches, Li Zhenguo, founder and president of LONGi Green Energy, Qu Xiaohua, chairman of Canadian Solar, and others emphasized the importance of independent innovation and original technology development to China's photovoltaic industry. During the forum, more than 20 industry organizations jointly launched the "Proposal on Actively Promoting Independent Innovation and Original Technology Development in the Photovoltaic Storage Industry". It is understood that the initiative has four aspects, namely: First, photovoltaic storage companies should enhance their independent innovation capabilities, increase R&D investment, encourage scientific researchers to dare to try new technical routes, not afraid of failure, and breed original results in practice; second, universities and scientific research institutions should work closely with enterprises, focus on industry needs to carry out transformative original exploration and forward-looking research, and provide theoretical support and talent reserves for the birth of original technologies; third, industry associations should further build communication platforms, promote knowledge sharing and technical cooperation, and create a good atmosphere conducive to the development of original technologies; fourth, the competent authorities should further increase the protection of independent innovation and original technologies, introduce relevant incentives, promote the healthy and orderly development of the photovoltaic industry, and form a harmonious and orderly competition pattern.

Recently, there have been market rumors that many domestic first-tier photovoltaic module companies have collectively raised module prices. The rumored price increase is about a few cents per watt, which was once interpreted by the industry as a positive bottom reversal signal. On February 25, a person close to the marketing department of Longi Green Energy told reporters that due to the impact of the power reform policy, the company's distributed ex-factory price rose by 0.03 yuan/watt to 0.05 yuan/watt last week, and the centralized price has not changed for the time being, but the price increase is expected to be unsustainable. Trina Solar also confirmed the rumor of price increase to reporters. "It has indeed increased a bit." The relevant person in charge of the company told reporters that the price of modules sold to customers through channels has increased by 0.02 yuan/watt to 0.03 yuan/watt. At present, the domestic market and the European market have confirmed the price increase, and the situation in the US market is not clear yet. "The price of photovoltaic modules is going to increase." The relevant person in charge of JA Solar told reporters today that market demand has warmed up after the Spring Festival, and the company's subsequent orders are very good. "The price increase of photovoltaic components is not only supported by market demand, but also because the upstream raw materials are still in a loss-making state, and there is pressure for commission price increase, which requires the transmission of component price increase (cost pressure)."
