Asia Tech Wire (Aug 8) -- HP Inc. has denied a report that it is moving half of its personal computer (PC) production out of China.

This follows a Nikkei report that HP is looking to move more than half of its PC production out of China.

In response, HP China said Thursday, "This is an untrue report about HP's recent operations in China."

"China is an integral and critical part of HP's global supply chain, and we maintain an unwavering commitment to our operations and growth in China," the company emphasized.

It said, "In China, HP's PC manufacturing business remains pivotal, providing high-quality products and services to the global market."

"To further enhance the resilience of our supply chain, we are actively optimizing our strategy and increasing our flexibility to better serve our global customers and meet their diverse needs," HP added.
