Asian Tech Press (Jan 11) -- Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com has opened two Ochama stores in Rotterdam and Leiden, and two new stores in Amsterdam and Utrecht will be opened soon. Ochama has also become the first Dutch retailer to offer a full range of online shopping, including fresh produce.

Ochama offers a wide selection of brands in the categories including food and fresh produce, household appliances, beauty, mother and child, fashion, lifestyle and home. It places automated stocking warehouses in front of the store, from robotic arms and AGV robots to bin transfer systems. All online shopping orders are stored, sorted and transferred by robots in the store, allowing customers to experience the futuristic feeling of automatic shipping technology.

"Ochama" means "omnichannel amazing," and Ochama can create an additional 10% discount on products with its technical ability alone, achieving 10% off the starting price of products. At the same time, through the online channel, it can cover a wider radius of offline service people and give back to more member customers with better prices.

" We hope to bring an unprecedented shopping experience to European consumers. With JD.com's years of experience in retail, logistics and supply chain, the new robot warehouse store will bring high-quality products, more attractive prices and more convenient services to local consumers in the Netherlands," said Lei Ling, head of JD.com's international Ochama project.
