Asia Tech Wire (Nov 1) -- Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp has denied that it will sue PC maker Lenovo in Germany.

In late October, Lenovo launched a patent lawsuit against ZTE in a UK High Court, Case No. HP-2024-000038.

In response to a market rumor that "ZTE may sue Lenovo in Germany," ZTE said on Friday that "it is not true."

"ZTE and Lenovo have been negotiating over patent licensing for several years," the company stressed.

In response to Lenovo's lawsuit, ZTE said, "Based on its trust in Lenovo as a Chinese company, [we] have always maintained a prudent and restrained attitude toward taking lawful measures to defend our rights other than negotiation."
