National Business Wire (Dec 21) -- Elon Musk's social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter,is undergoing downtime globally, according to Downdetector.com.

Users are unable to view posts on the platform while seeing "Welcome to X!"

Data from Downdetector.com shows that more than 45,000 U.S. users are experiencing the outage while using the X app and its web version.

It's unclear if X has a fix for the problem.
