Asian Tech Press -- Walmart's Flipkart has requested to be treated in an antitrust probe in India unlike Amazon, according to Reuters.

Indian regulators are launching an antitrust investigation into the country's two biggest e-commerce sites, Amazon India and Walmart-affiliated homegrown Flipkart.

In a court filing, Flipkart noted that the antitrust investigation against the company is not the same as Amazon's because there were no structural links of any kind between Flipkart and its sellers.

The company said that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) should treat Amazon and Flipkart completely differently.

As the Indian e-commerce market is booming, agencies predict that the market will reach $200 billion by 2026, and Amazon and Flipkart are currently the two top players.
