One of Toyota's production lines will be shut down for five days next month due to a global chip shortage.

According to Toyota's official website, the first production line at Toyota's Takaoka plant in Japan will be shut down from August 2 until August 6, for a total of five days.

The production line is currently producing Corolla and Corolla Touring models in two shifts. Since the shutdown will occur from Monday to Friday, the shutdown next month will inevitably affect the production of Corolla models at the Takaoka plant.
