Japan's s technology and manufacturing giant Toshiba Corp (TYO:6502) is probing the matter after a hacker group claimed to have breached the website of its French subsidiary and stolen confidential information, NHK reported.

The Russian hacking group DarkSide claims it stole information about Toshiba's senior executives and new business as well as personal information. The FBI confirms that the Darkside ransomware is responsible for the compromise of the Colonial Pipeline networks.
