TikTok topped May's global mobile app download ranking with over 80 million installs

Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data shows TikTok topped the global mobile app (non-game) download chart with over 80 million installs in May 2021.

Downloads are only counted in the App Store and Google Play, excluding third-party Android markets in China and other regions.

Facebook ranked second with over 53 million downloads. Downloads from the Indian market accounted for 27%, followed by the US at 7%. The other three apps in the top five were Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
