AB Auto, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand, jointly built by Chang'an Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd., telecom giant Huawei and Tesla's battery supplier CATL, will be unveiled at "the 2021 Changan Automobile Smart World Conference" on May 20.

There are rumors that the AB Auto will be packaged in the assets of Changan New Energy, a new energy automobile technology subsidiary under Changan Automobile, and will be listed independently in the future.

On May 19, executive vice president of Changan Automobile, Benhong Tan said that Changan New Energy and AB Auto are two independent operating entities with different product brands and product segments.

Tan said that the AB Auto will develop independently, operate independently in the market, and integrate the resources of strategic partners, with independent listing plans.

The reporter also learned that the AB Auto will be released within this month at the earliest.
