Tesla to sell home batteries in Japan through Yamada

Asia Tech Wire (Oct 23) -- Tesla will sell its Powerwall home battery system in Japan through electronics store chain Yamada Denki, according to Nikkei.

Tesla hopes to accelerate the distribution of the home battery system in Japan through a partnership with Yamada Denki operator Yamada Holdings.

Under the partnership, 1,000 Yamada stores in Japan will take orders for products that will be integrated with Yamada's home and solar power equipment.
