Asia Tech Wire (Sep 27) -- Sony's 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Pro, which opened for pre-order on Thursday, is being resold at higher prices.

The special version of the PS5 Pro console is priced at $1,000 in the U.S. and £960 in the UK, according to Push Square.

The monumental new console was quickly snapped up as soon as it was available for pre-order and quickly appeared on the secondary market.

On eBay, some sellers have been reselling the pre-order for up to $5,000.

And in the UK, the resale price for the Limited Edition PS5 Pro is around £4,000, with some even marked up to £10,000, more than ten times the original suggested retail price.

The 30th Anniversary Edition PS5 Pro, each with an individual number, has a limited run of 12,300 units worldwide.
