Sony approached CBS on Jeopardy! deal, report says

Asia Tech Wire (Nov 1) -- Japan's Sony Corp. approached CBS earlier this year about a deal to buy its program "Jeopardy!", according to Bloomberg.

Citing a person familiar with the discussions, the report said Sony made a more than nine-figure offer to buy CBS' popular programs "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!".

On Thursday, Sony's TV unit turned to sue CBS, a unit of Paramount Global, for breach of contract terms and poor sales performance.
