Sony Pictures suspends plans to release new films in Russia

Asian Tech Press (Mar. 1) -- In light of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Sony Pictures has announced the suspension of all its theatrical releases in Russia, including high-profile Marvel film Morbius.

Sony Pictures stated, "Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been impacted and hope this crisis will be resolved quickly."

It came after Disney had suspended the theatrical release of all its films in Russia, and Warner Bros. had announced the withdrawal of superhero film The Batman, which was scheduled for release in Russia on March 3.
