Singapore's total employment increases in Q1

On June 17, Singapore's Ministry of Manpower released its Labor Report for the first quarter of 2021. The report shows that Singapore's labor market is gradually recovering from the Covid-19 epidemic.

For the first time since the outbreak, total employment increased in the first quarter of 2021, but the unemployment rate is still higher than pre epidemic. The report said Singapore's resident employment increased by 23,700 people in the first quarter, while foreign employment decreased by 11,500 people.
