Shopee, Lazada rank top two in Southeast Asia e-commerce market, says KPMG report

Asia Tech Wire (Aug 20) -- Shopee and Lazada ranked top two in Southeast Asia e-commerce market, a KPMG report has revealed.

KPMG and GS1, the global standards body for item identification, in June jointly released the 2024 authoritative data report "Navigating the future of seamless commerce in Asia Pacific".

The report disclosed the Southeast Asian e-commerce landscape, in which Shopee and Lazada dominate the market as the top 2 e-commerce platforms in the region.

The data in the report shows that in Vietnam, a country with the fastest growing e-commerce in Southeast Asia, Lazada surpassed Shopee as the most popular e-commerce site here.
