Shell partners with JTC to develop Singapore's first large-scale solar power project

Royal Dutch Shell announced on Thursday that it has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Singapore's state-owned JTC Corp to explore the development of a solar power plant on the part of a landfill site in southern Singapore.

If successful, the solar plant will reduce Singapore's carbon emissions and meet its growing demand for clean energy, the two companies said in a statement.
