Asia Tech Wire (June 21) -- Samsung Electronics' U.S. subsidiary Harman is building an $80 million advanced electronics factory in Thailand.
The audio electronics company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the plant in Thailand on Thursday.
Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said in a post on social media platform X on Thursday that he met with Christian Sobottka, president of Harman's automotive division.
During the meeting Srettha learned that the plant, in which Harman plans to invest $80 million, will create jobs for about 1,200 Thais.
