Asia Tech Wire (Sep 23) -- Samsung is targeting mass production of a small all-solid-state battery for wearable devices in the first half of 2026, according to South Korea's Maeil Business Newspaper.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed this all-solid-state battery and is testing it, the report said.

The battery is due to work first in Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds headphones, and may also find its way into other devices, including smartphones.

This will be the world's first successful development of a small, all-solid-state battery for wearable devices, the report said.
