Asian Tech Press (Dec 30) -- Samsung said its Xi'an chip plant is in normal operation as production is adjusted due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
The person in charge of Samsung on Thursday said that its semiconductor factory in Xi'an has taken fully closed management measures for the staff on duty and logistics vehicles in accordance with the local government's COVID-19 prevention requirements, and can guarantee basic operating conditions.
The company stressed that its chip factory in the north-central Chinese city is currently in production operation.
Earlier, it was reported that Samsung announced the suspension of operation at this plant amid a COVID-19 lockdown.
