SK plans to acquire Japanese parts supplier

According to the Korea Times, South Korea's SK Group is considering acquiring a Japanese parts supplier.

SKC, SK Inc., SK Siltron, and SK Materials will invest a total of about 400 billion won ($358 million) in SK Group's Japanese investment company, sources close to the matter said.

The SK Group's investment plan is expected to further expand its presence in the semiconductor industry.
