SAIC-GM's NEV retail sales up 27% in July

Asia Tech Wire (Aug 1) -- SAIC General Motors Corp., the China joint venture between General Motors and SAIC Motor, disclosed on Thursday that its retail sales of new-energy vehicles in July amounted to 7,901 units, up 27% from the previous month.

SAIC-GM reported retail sales of 44,822 units in July, up 2% from the previous month.

In particular, Buick GL8 performed well, with retail sales of 8,229 units in July, up 53% from the previous month.

From January to July 2024, the joint venture recorded cumulative retail sales of 5,006 units of new energy vehicles, up 41.6% year-on-year.
