Asia Tech Wire (Oct 28) -- German high-performance computing (HPC) provider ParTec AG, along with its exclusive licensing agent BF exaQC AG, filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Nvidia on Sunday at the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in Munich.

The lawsuit seeks an injunction from the court requiring Nvidia to refrain from selling significant portions of its GPU portfolio in patent-protected countries in Europe, according to a statement.

In addition, ParTec is seeking, among other things, information about Nvidia's sales activities to date and damages.

In addition to Nvidia, ParTec also sued Microsoft in June for allegedly infringing on patents related to its dynamic Modular System Architecture (dMSA).
