Omdia: total demand for display driver chips soars to 8.07 billion in 2020

According to Omdia, in 2020, as COVID-19 stimulates the demand for people to work, study, and entertain at home, the display industry is experiencing rapid development, and the upstream supply chain is also booming in parallel.

In 2020, the total demand for display driver chips shows double-digit year-on-year growth, reaching 8.07 billion units. Large-sized display driver chips account for 70% of the total needs, of which driver chips used by LCD TV panels take up more than 40% of the total requirements for large sizes.
