Nvidia invests in Japanese startup Sakana AI

Asia Tech Wire (Sep 4) -- U.S. chip giant Nvidia has invested in Japanese AI R&D startup Sakana AI.

Sakana AI announced on Wednesday that it has closed a Series A funding round, raising more than $100 million.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates, Khosla Ventures and Lux Capital, with participation from Nvidia.

In addition, Sakana AI announced a new collaboration with Nvidia around research, infrastructure and AI community building in Japan.
