Asia Tech Wire (Oct 25) -- U.S. chipmaker Nvidia has announced that it will build AI infrastructure in India.

Nvidia on Thursday announced that it has entered into a partnership with Reliance Industries, India's second-largest consortium and owned by Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, to jointly build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India and will drive adoption of the technology in the world's most populous country.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company will grow its computing power in India by nearly 20 times from a year ago and will continue to invest in computing infrastructure in the market.

He said India, previously a software exporter, will become an AI exporter in the future.
