Myanmar receives 4 million doses of China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

Asian Tech Press (Sep 13) -- The Myanmar government received 4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine purchased from Chinese state-owned drugmaker Sinopharm Group Co. Ltd. on Sunday.

On September 12, the first batch of 4 million doses of the vaccine arrived at Yangon International Airport, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar said in a release.

It said up to now, China has provided a total of 12.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Myanmar, of which 3.9 million doses were provided free of charge and 8.7 million doses were procured by Myanmar.
