Lilly China announces major leadership appointment

Asia Tech Wire (Oct 10) -- Huzur Devletsah, president and general manager of Lilly China, announced a major management appointment to employees on Wednesday.

Devletsah announced that effective Oct. 10, Qiong Yan has assumed the role of vice president of the diabetes products business unit and has become a member of the Lilly China management team, reporting directly to her.

Yan previously served as senior vice president of oncology therapeutics at Novartis.

In joining Lilly, Yan will focus on the growth of Lilly's heavyweight tilpeptide and metabolic product lines in China.
