Asia Tech Wire (Oct 28) -- Lenovo has filed a lawsuit against communications equipment supplier ZTE for patent infringement in a UK high court, Case No. HP-2024-000038, according to ip fray, an intellectual property media outlet.
The lawsuit involves a number of parties, including Lenovo and several of its subsidiaries as plaintiffs, and ZTE, its U.K. subsidiary, and three U.K. distributors as defendants.
There is no specific information about the case or the patents involved, but the report says that Lenovo's move could be a response to a patent license offer or lawsuit previously initiated by ZTE.
Asked whether the lawsuit has affected the company's share price, a ZTE source said Tuesday, "This should not be the case, and the share price is quite stable today."
