Asia Tech Wire (Aug 1) -- Japan's Hitachi has developed technology that can determine whether an article was created by generative AI, according to Nikkei.

According to the report, the new technology will integrate into AI developers' technologies for creating articles based on large language models (LLMs).

The technology, which makes judgments based on patterns of word usage in articles, will not only prevent the dissemination of misinformation created by generative AI in the future, but will also help corporations and administrative agencies avoid risks such as copyright infringement when composing important documents.

Hitachi has also developed technology that combines multiple word selection rules, which can improve the accuracy of the judgment.
