Japanese e-comics provider Infocom says no decision yet on buyout offer from Blackstone

Asia Tech Wire (June 18) -- Japanese e-comics provider Infocom Corp. said it has not yet made a decision on U.S. investment management company Blackstone Inc.'s takeover bid.

Infocom said Tuesday that it will announce the board's decision on Blackstone's takeover bid once all disclosure documents are ready.

The news comes on the heels of news that Blackstone has reached a definitive agreement to buy Infocom at about 6,000 yen per share, for a total price of about 280 billion yen ($1.78 billion).
