Asian Tech Press (Jan 10) -- The Japanese Yomiuri Shimbun cited multiple sources as saying that the Japanese and U.S. governments are working together to develop a framework agreement to restrict exports of sensitive technologies related to national security.
The two countries set rules on the overseas export of technologies that could include semiconductor manufacturing equipment, quantum cryptography and artificial intelligence, the report said.
In addition, Japan and the U.S. intend to coordinate on this subject with their allies, including European countries.
