Asian Tech Press (Jan 10) -- South Korea's largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group plans to sell about 50% of its vehicles in the U.S. with eco-friendly models by 2030, according to KED Global.

The report quoted Jose Munoz, Hyundai's chief operating officer and head of its US and North America business, as saying that the company is poised to increase the product mix of eco-friendly vehicles to 40-50% in total U.S. sales by 2030, up from the current 10%.

"We are really well equipped. We are really getting ready to support the 40 to 50% mix of battery EV sales in the US market by 2030," Muniz told a group of South Korean reporters on the sidelines of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 in Las Vegas last Wednesday.
