According to the data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, Hyundai and Kia's sales in the European market in the first half of this year increased by 40.1% year-on-year to 494,158,000 units, overtaking BMW in the sales list at No. 4.
Hyundai and Kia sales increased by 39.3% and 40.8% year-on-year to 242,922,000 units and 251,236,000 units respectively.
In terms of market share, the two automakers increased their European market share by 0.7 percentage points year-on-year to 7.6 percent, ranking 4th after VW (26.2 percent), Stellantis (21.3 percent) and Renault Group (8.7 percent), followed by BMW (6.3 percent), Toyota (6.3 percent), Daimler (5.7 percent), Ford (4.8) and Volvo (2.6 percent).
