Hyundai, Kia EV sales exceed 100,000 units in Europe for the first time

Asian Tech Press (Nov 16) -- According to Hyundai Motor and Kia's investor information website, the two firms sold 104,883 electric vehicles in Europe from January to October this year, up 41.9 percent year on year, according to Yonhap News Agency. Hyundai and Kia's yearly electric vehicle sales in Europe have surpassed 100,000 for the first time.

Hyundai sold 566,370 vehicles, up 33.1 percent from the previous year. Kia Motors sold 482.46 million vehicles, up 53.9 percent from the previous year. In terms of individual models, the KONA EV model sold 36,849,000 units, up 9.7% year over year, while the Niro EV model sold 38,930,000 units, up 58.3 percent year over year.
