Grab, ChatGPT owner announce AI partnership

Asia Tech Wire (May 30) -- Southeast Asian tech company Grab and ChatGPT owner OpenAI announced on Thursday that they will collaborate to build and deploy advanced artificial intelligence solutions.

Grab said in a statement that his is "the first of its kind for OpenAI in the region."

Grab will explore the use of AI technology to build customer service chatbots to help users solve problems faster.

In terms of mapping, Grab will leverage OpenAI's vision capabilities to enhance its mapping efforts through automation and higher-quality visual image data extraction to update maps faster.

In addition to developing advanced AI solutions for users and partners, Grab also intends to deploy ChatGPT Enterprise software among selected employees through an initial pilot to improve productivity.
