Asia Tech Wire (Jan 29) -- DreamSmart, the smart terminal maker that the founder of China's largest private auto group Geely launched last year, has announced its entry into Southeast Asia.
Xingji Meizu Group announced on Monday that its holding company DreamSmart completed an international distribution signing with Malaysia's Digital Way Group in Shanghai.
Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to expand into overseas markets, primarily in Southeast Asia, and provide MYVU AR smart glasses to consumers in 11 countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Jing Su, President of Xingji Meizu Group, said, "This is a milestone moment. This signing kicks off Xingji Meizu Group's expansion into overseas markets, and we will have more products and services going overseas in the future."
"In addition to the Southeast Asian market, we are also actively expanding into other overseas markets," Su said.
Yong Lu, senior vice president in charge of the XR business unit at Xingji Meizu Group, said that after the MYVU AR smart glasses hit the Southeast Asian market, the company will optimise the product accordingly for the local market and make it compatible with local application service providers.
Geely founder Eric Li formally launched Xingji Meizu Group in March 2023, upgraded from his startup Xingji Technology, as a key part of the ecosystem of mobility technologies he has been leading.
